I’m Gurps Kandola. My passion for road trips started long before I ever got behind the wheel. It began with my father and grandfather—both true car enthusiasts. My father spoke of collecting his Mercedes-Benz 500SL from Stuttgart and driving it back to Wolverhampton in the days of unrestricted autobahns. My grandfather, meanwhile, drove a 500SEL daily and kept a Porsche 930 Turbo for weekends—cars that defined luxury and performance in their era.

 

One moment has never left me: a hot summer afternoon when my grandfather picked me up from school in his red 930 Turbo. The sound, the presence, the attention—it was unforgettable. From that day on, Porsche held a special place in my heart.

 

Travel quickly became part of who I am. Family road trips across Europe sparked my obsession with the open road. In 1997, on a trip to Switzerland, I saw my first supercar: a Lamborghini Diablo in Interlaken. I didn’t fully understand it at the time, but I felt it—and that feeling never went away.

 

As the years passed, the journeys grew—from the chaos of Indian roads to the supercar capitals of the Middle East and London. What started as tradition became a lifestyle—defined by movement, freedom, and the pursuit of unforgettable moments.

 

About a year ago, I bought the car that would unknowingly set everything in motion—a Porsche Cayenne 955. I’d always been drawn to it, especially after watching the Transsyberia Rally when I was younger. At the time, it was just a car I loved—nothing more. There was no grand plan.

 

That changed after a spontaneous day trip to Belgium. Somewhere on that drive, something clicked. What started as a simple journey turned into an idea—then an obsession. Routes were mapped, destinations imagined, challenges embraced. Slowly but surely, a crazy, ridiculous plan began to take shape.

I'm about to undertake the most audacious journey of my life—driving my Porsche around the world. Alone.

 

This isn’t just a road trip; it’s a quest to push the boundaries of human endurance, performance, and adventure.

 

From the streets of London to the farthest corners of the Earth, I will conquer all seven continents, one tyre revolution at a time.

 

This is a test of mind, body, and machine.

As I navigate this uncharted path, I’ll be chronicling every triumph, every setback, and every moment that defies belief.
